Foscarini Chapeaux 
The compositional elements of Chapeaux, the table lamp with direct and diffuse light designed by Rodolfo Dordoni, have been reduced to a minimum. At the centre of the design are three shades - different in shape, material and finish - that rest freely on a central, cylindrical borosilicate glass body open at the ends, which also carries the light source: an opal polycarbonate ampoule that encloses the lighting components and appears to float in the glass. The brushed aluminium bracket attached to the top is a touch dimmer with three light levels that saves the last selection when controlled by a wall switch. In the M version, the shade is made of lacquered steel, with a glossy white inner section to enhance the light reflected on the table surface.
