Description
The Macchina della Luce mod. E by Catellani & Smith is a pendant lamp with three discs as a diffuser. The top disc has a diameter of 50 cm, the medium placed disc one diameter of 30 cm, and the bottom disc has a diameter of 18 cm. All three discs are covered with flat foil, the surfaces silver leaf, gold leaf and copper are offered. The discs are placed one above the other on three rods, which are made of different materials, depending on the surface choice: In the copper and the gold leaf variant are the rods of brass, in the version with silver leaf discs nickel-plated. By default, the rods have a maximum length of 145 cm and can be shortened. The pendant lamp is on request also available with 300 cm long rods.
The canopy is dome-shaped with the dimensions 21 x 10.5 cm. The light is on site dimmable and is operated with LED boards with total 4 x 6 watts of power.
